Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC)

Keystone Historic Preservation Grants: The Keystone Historic Preservation Grants provide funding that is available to nonprofit organizations and local governments for small construction projects for publicly accessible historic resources. This program has three categories available for funding, Preservation, Restoration, and Rehabilitation. The purpose of the grant is to support projects that rehabilitate, restore, or preserve historic resources listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. The awarded amount is between $5,000 and $100,000 and is a 50/50 cash match requirement, and the grant timeline is up to two years. For more information click the link below.

Keystone Historic Preservation Planning Grants: The Keystone Historic Preservation Planning Grant program is available to nonprofit organizations and local governments for the planning and development for publicly accessible historic resources listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. The purpose of the grant is to support projects that identify, preserve, promote and protect historic and archaeological resources of Pennsylvania for both the benefit of the public and the revitalization of communities. New Jersey Historic Trust (NJHT)

Historic Site Management Grants: The Historic Site Management Grants provide funding to properties individually listed in the NJ or National Register of Historic Places, those that are a contributing resource to a historic district listed in the NJ or National Register, or those certified as eligible for listing by the Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer. The purpose of this grant is to support historic properties in the further management and preservation of the property. The awarded amount is between $5,000 and $75,000, and is a 25% match requirement. For more information click the link below.

New York State Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation

Historic Preservation Grant Program: The Historic Preservation program is meant to improve, protect, preserve, rehabilitate, restore or acquire properties listed on the State or National Registers of Historic Places and for structural assessments and/or planning for such projects. New York State Library

Grant Program for the Conservation and Preservation of Library Research Materials: The New York State Discretionary Grant Program for the Conservation and Preservation of Library Research Materials provides State funding for libraries and other organizations to support preservation efforts of library research materials.

The Preservation League of New York State

Technical Assistance Grants: Technical Assistance Grants are available to eligible NYS nonprofits and municipalities. The TAG Program provides support for planning studies or analyses of New York State’s historic resources that serve an arts and/or cultural function. TAG funds consulting reports only, completed by architects, engineers and/or other design and preservation professionals. These grants do not fund capital construction costs, architectural plans and specifications, schematic designs, or construction documents. The amount awarded goes up to $4,000, with a required 20% project cost match from each applicant. These are available to nonprofit groups and municipalities that own or have a long-term lease on buildings that house historic sites, museums, arts facilities, and other important institutions that serve an arts or cultural purpose and are open to the public. New York State Higher Education

Capital Matching Grant Program: The HECap Program awards matching capital Grants to Colleges for the design, acquisition, construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation or equipping of a facility on or near a college campus within the State, including critical academic facilities, economic development and/or high technology projects and urban renewal and/or historical preservation projects that would enhance the programmatic offerings or the student life at the College or provide economic development benefits to the area surrounding such college campus.
