Standards Work
American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)
LPS Owner/President Jeremy Linden was a co-author of the 2019 ASHRAE Applications Handbook Chapter 24: Museums, Galleries, Archives and Libraries (MGAL), specifically authoring the sections on mechanical design and control for collections preservation as well as material on preservation requirements for archival and library collections. First published in 1999, the chapter was slightly revised in 2003 to include data on pollutant risk; the 2019 revision marked the first major revision of the chapter in nearly 20 years. Key updates to the chapter included guidance for the design process and decision-making, revised environmental control goals based on updated materials science, and specific recommendations and risk considerations based on new technological and control options.
International Standards Organization (ISO)

Additionally, Linden was a co-author on two additional Technical Reports on the care of library and archive materials:
o ISO/TR 19815 – Information and Documentation: Management of the Environmental Conditions for Archive and Library Collections
o ISO/TR 19814 – Information and Documentation: Collections Management for Archives and Libraries

The new edition is expected to be published in 2024.
